Dollar Find Friday- Tooth Fairy Tooth Holder

You still have a couple of more days to play in this week's TSG Challenge! Not only is there a $5 TSG Gift certificate available, but you could also become our featured challenge participant for the Trendsetting Spotlight!

Happy Friday everyone, the weekend is just about here! Today is my turn to host the Dollar Find Friday project and I am going to show you how to make a tooth holder for the tooth fairy to visit ;)

My oldest has had a loose tooth for quite awhile now so I thought we should have a special place ready for it when it finally decides to fall out.
Supplies:
Satin container ($.49 on clearance at Michael's!)
Very Vanilla Cardstock
Satin (I used some blanket binding because that is all I had)
Dimensionals (duh! ;)
Copic Markers
Red line tape
VersaMark
Momento Tuxedo Black
SU Heat and Stick embossing powder
Fine glitter
Nestabilities
Quickie glue pen
Stardust Gelly Roll Pen
Step 1: I used a circle Nestability (that was just small enough to fit inside my container) and embossed a piece of Vanilla cardstock. I then took a compass and drew another circle exactly one inch bigger and made slits from the bigger circle to the smaller.
Step 2: I covered the circle with satin (please excuse the fold line)
Step 3: I folded the cut areas in so that I could place this into the bottom of my container. This makes a great 'shelf' for my tooth pocket to sit on.
Step 4: Create the decorative elements for the container.
I stamped the larger tooth on some scrap Vanilla cardstock, inked with Versamark, embossed with Heat & Stick then covered with fine clear glitter. ( After all, should all teeth be nice and sparkly?? :) When they were set, I cut them out.
I colored the fairy with copic markers, added Stardust Gelly Roll pen to the inside of the wings for shimmer then used my Quickie glue pen on the outside of the wings and covered with glitter.
I used the same colors of Copic markers that I used on the fairy so that I could make some matching embellishments. I colored on each side of a scrap piece of Vanilla cardstock, inked with Versamark, embossed with Heat & Stick and covered in glitter. I then used my hole punch to punch out these small circles which were the exact same size as the dimensionals I was using! Coincidence? I think not.....
I adhered all embellishment images to the satin container using dimensionals. Here is the finished outside. I wish you could see all of the pretty sparkle better!!
Finished side
Finished inside. I created a small simple satin pocket to go inside the container to hold the actual tooth.
Close up of the inside. The scallop behind the sentiment layer was cut out of Vanilla cardstock and then each of the little scallops was colored with Copic markers to match the rest of the container.
I hope that you all enjoyed this fun little project! Have a wonderful weekend :)
